started a small London based design company in 2005, exclusively working with laminated fabrics in far out 60s & 70s style prints, mainly Spots, Stripes & Florals. Sophia's Degree was in Fashion Design, and Matt's degree was in Graphic Design. We are both heavily influenced by nature (plants & flowers) and love to work with bold colours. Handbags & Accessories in pastel colours on plain cotton is about as far removed from what we do as you can get, it just doesn't suit us. We're about big abstract Spots, Stripes & florals, colour combinations and Laminated fabrics — we don't do boring! We like to change our prints on a regular basis, we love to see something new, and we know you do too.
we sold them at Greenwich Market, and people liked them so we made some more. We opened a nice Design Studio in East London by the River Thames. Bankers got fat, politicians got greedy and a recession kicked in. We Met Mr. Hiro Koshimizu San and went to Japan. Some nice Japanese people bought some nice things. We now sell our products exclusively in the UK & Japan. We produce 98% of our products in London, charge sensible prices, and are very grateful to have so many nice customers.
that being such a small company (just two of us), we do everything ourselves. We design and come up with new product ideas together, Sophia turns that idea into a pattern and samples and refines the product until we are happy. We design prints together, we work together to produce the final artwork and colour combinations. Matt designed and built our website from scratch, produces all graphic artwork, writing and photography. When you buy something from us, that product will have been hand cut by us, and in some cases even sewn together by Sophia. If you order online it will have been carefully wrapped, packed and posted by us and you will always find a hand written note from one of us to say thank you.
