Myself and Sophia have close ties with Japan, we have a lot of Japanese friends, and for two years we worked closely with our distributor and friend Hiro Koshimizu selling our products in and around Tokyo. On a personal level, there's very little we are able do to help following the recent disaster in Japan — fortunately our friends and their families are all well, something we are very grateful for. As of writing this the death toll is in excess of 9,000 and there are hundreds of thousands people living in shelters.
Tokiko, a friend of ours, who also happens to be responsible for the stunning floral arrangements in our shop asked us if we would support a charity piano concert being held in Blackheath, and of course, without question the answer was yes. We've donated over four hundred pounds worth of products to be sold at the event, every penny of which will go to the "Japan Tsunami Appeal" managed by the British Red Cross.
Japan is an impressive country, and we're certain they will recover from the recent events quickly, and whilst it's only a small contribution, if we're able to help in any way at all then that's exactly what we'll do, so if you get a chance please try and visit the event, enjoy some music and buy a little something.
